NewzHammer Magazine: Pulp-Noir Fiction & News from Jack Hammer

NewzHammer pulp-noir graphic magazine cover by Jack Hammer, featuring a trench-coat clad detective in a rainy alley with a femme fatale in a doorway.

This is NewzHammer Magazine. No staff, no ghostwriters. Just me, Jack Hammer. I’m the editor-in-chief, the chief reporter, and the guy who buys the black ink. I ran a private eye business for thirty years before I retired, trading my magnifying glass for a typewriter. Now, this rag is my beat, where there’s always an ongoing case or mystery for you, the reader, to solve.

Every word you read here, be it a gritty memoir, a hard-hitting news article, or a show-biz review just to pass the time, reflects my life’s story and work. There’s no fluff or lipstick. We don’t polish bull crap. We publish truth and entertainment, with a nod to the past. I write what I see, what I’ve done, and what I believe.

Like any good magazine, we cover a lot of ground. Dig deep enough, and you’ll find my memoirs written down in short story form. We print gut, honest, news features on today’s politicians and the current political climate. We post black-and-white reviews on Pulp-Noir, film, print, and radio media of the past. And yeah, I crack wise every once in awhile. This rag isn’t complicated. It’s a living file cabinet. And every page is a new mystery, and chapter in a complicated world.

Yours truly, Jack Hammer
